Before your arrival

WHAT ARE THE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

The minimum age requirement of the booker to check-in at Cityden Amsterdam West is 21.

WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK-IN? IS AN EARLY CHECK-IN POSSIBLE?

Check-in is at 3 PM. You can request an early check-in the day before your arrival. Please note that an early check-in is based on availability. The price for an early check-in is 25 euros. We like to speed up the check-in process, so you can start as soon as possible with the journey you came for. That is why you can already fill in the check-in form in advance via the link in your confirmation email.

WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO CHECK-OUT? IS A LATE CHECK-OUT POSSIBLE?

Check-out is at 11:00 am. Feel like sleeping in? You can request a late check-out until 13:00h for € 27,50 or until 16:00h for € 55,-. Please note that a late check-out is based on availability.

WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF THE CITY TAX?

The city tax at Cityden Amsterdam West is 7% of the net room rate + € 3,- p.p.p.n.

CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE AT THE PROPERTY?

We have a secured luggage room located on -1 floor. Storing your luggage is free of charge. Just ask one of our colleagues if you are in need of any assistance – as always, we are happy to help you out.

IS THERE A SECURITY DEPOSIT? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET IT BACK?

Please note a deposit is required which will be authorized upon arrival on your credit card or debit card – € 150,- per stay if you booked a Studio, Studio XL, Loft, 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom or 2-Bedroom XL and a deposit of € 300,- per stay if you booked a 3-Bedroom, Penthouse or Penthouse XL. Depending on your bank, it can take up to 7 days to get your deposit back.

WHAT CREDIT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Visa, Mastercard & American Express.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY?

We love pets, but unfortunately, we can’t host them for stayovers. Guide dogs are always welcome.

ARE THERE PARKING SPOTS AVAILABLE AT CITYDEN AMSTERDAM WEST?

There are +50 paid parking spots (€ 12,50 per night, per car) behind our building. Send your license plate number and reservation number to reception@citydenamsterdamwest.com, so we can reserve a parking spot for you.

The apartment

IS THERE FREE WI-FI?

We all know Wi-Fi is important to get things done or to scroll through our Instagram, so we assure you a free and fast connection anywhere in your den, restaurant and common hotel areas.

DO YOU ALLOW SMOKING AT THE APPARTMENTS?

Please note that we are a non-smoking aparthotel and that it is not allowed to smoke in or around the building, including the private terraces, patios and nearby park.

DO YOUR APARTMENTS HAVE A BATH?

The modern bathrooms at Cityden Amsterdam West are equipped with a refreshing rain shower, but they don’t have a bathtub.

DO YOUR APARTMENTS HAVE A BALCONY?

WHEN IS MY APARTMENT BEING CLEANED?

You will receive fresh towels and bathroom amenities every other day. Please note that a full cleaning of your apartment applies every four days. If you would like additional cleaning during your stay, a supplement of € 30,- (Studio or Studio XL) or € 50,- (1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom XL, 3-Bedroom, Loft, Penthouse or Penthouse XL) will apply per full cleaning service.

HOW CAN I RESERVE A BABY COT AND/OR BABY CHAIR?

Let us know in advance if you need one & we will make it happen. Please note that a baby cot and baby chair are based on availability. The price for a baby cot is € 15,- per night and a baby chair is free. Please note that the baby cot and baby chair are based on availability.

DO THE APARTMENTS HAVE A DRYER/WASHER COMBINATION?

We have a laundry room on the -1 floor that can be accessed with your room key. The machines operate with coins, which can be purchased at the reception for € 4,-. Instructions are located in the laundry room, but you can always ask one of our colleagues at the reception if you need help.

IS THE KITCHEN IN THE APARTMENT FULLY EQUIPPED?

Yes, so you will have everything you need to create your favourite dish or try out some new ones!

ARE THERE TOWELS & BED LINNEN IN THE APARTMENTS?

Yes, all our apartments are really fully equipped.

ARE THERE EXTRA BED OPTIONS? ARE VISITORS ALLOWED?

Unfortunately, adding an extra bed to a Studio or Apartment isn’t possible. Please be aware that it is not allowed to receive any guests in the apartment or building that are not registered during check-in.

Services

DO YOU RENT OUT BIKES?

Yes, of course, we do! Let us know in advance how many and when you need the bikes, so we can arrange this for you or reserve your bike at the reception and go for it. We have regular bicycles, children’s bicycles and bicycles with a child seat available. The rental price for 1 day is € 16,-.

DO YOU HAVE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?

Unfortunately, we do not. But We are more than happy to arrange a taxi for you with our preferred and sustainable partner Travel Electric.

DO YOU SELL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TICKETS?

Yes, we do! Tickets for bus, tram and metro can be bought from the reception desk. You can get a one day or multi-day travel ticket, as well as a day ticket for children. Tickets are valid across the whole Amsterdam network from the first check-in, allowing you to take as many journeys as you wish within your chosen time frame.

IS THERE A BREAKFAST BUFFET?

To make you feel extra safe and comfortable during these strange times, we temporarily swapped our breakfast buffet for a delicious breakfast bag with yoghurt and granola, a croissant with jam and butter, a piece of fruit, boiled egg, fresh bread roll, Nutella, a slice of cheese, orange juice, tea and a coffee cup.

IS THERE A RESTAURANT & BAR AT YOUR PROPERTY?

Yes, whether you are in a hurry to visit the city or ready to sit down for a casual dining experience, Lucy’s Kitchen Restaurant & Bar has the fuel that keeps you going.

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR EXPLORING THE CITY?

Where to start… because we have some many! Just ask one of our colleagues and they will tell you all about their favourites.
